Advent at the RWA: 11 December

these things

“I remembered this piece as being very striking when it was first submitted and I have been strangely drawn to it since. It is a very simple picture starkly monochrome. To me, it seems to represent the fine line between life and death; the rabbit could be lying dead, or he could be leaping – it is difficult to tell. Within the simplicity of subject and colour, there is also beautiful detailing in the softness of fur and delicate highlighting of the eye, a very beautiful piece.”
